Air movers create high-velocity airflow across wet surfaces, accelerating evaporation by disrupting the boundary layer of saturated air that forms above wet materials. Low-grain refrigerant (LGR) dehumidifiers are the workhorse of structural drying. They pull moisture-laden air across refrigerated coils, condensing the water vapour and draining it away. Thermal imaging is non-invasive and provides a rapid, comprehensive overview of moisture distribution across an entire room.

They provide the data needed for psychrometric calculations — confirming that the drying equipment is achieving the target specific humidity and that the drying environment is progressing as expected.
